Dr. Kobia Expresses Maritta Viola's Impact as Motivational Speaker

Maritta is conducting seminars at schools locally and nationally. Her goal is to reach out to young adults who may be struggling with life challenges such as interpersonal relationships and career decisions.

What makes Maritta so unique as influencer and motivational speaker? Maritta is a passionate young woman who is open-minded and hard working. She has a strong desire to help and educate others. I have known Maritta since her academic years at Mississippi State University (MSU) in the capacity of professor and mentor.

Maritta has been a great resource to the MSU study-tour in New York (NYC). Every year, she serves as one of the motivational speakers for our tour. Maritta is excellent with encouraging students who are in the program and need guidance as they pursue their careers in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Maritta was one of my best students and has a friendly personality with a big heart for people. Her drive and ambition are exemplary. Maritta is now a successful businesswoman, who is a show producer and creative director at New York Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week as well as other fashion events. She also works in brand development for several fashion labels in NYC and represents one of the top international garment manufacturers: Azim Group. She is always on the lookout for new talent, new artists, new designers, and new brands to be exposed. Maritta is inspired and driven by her ability to produce creative works and motivate other individuals along the way.

Since I have known Maritta, I know that life has presented several challenges for her. No matter what Maritta faced, she always managed to find a way to overcome her adversities. Maritta can provide excellent insights regarding the challenges of being a young adult. Maritta and I have spoken on numerous occasions about her interest in becoming a motivational speaker. Based on her own challenges related to her health and childhood experiences, Maritta wants to inspire young people by letting them know that they can overcome life challenges and make dreams come true.

Last season, Maritta offered two of my students an internship at NYFW and I know how excited Maritta is to offer many more students the opportunity of an internship in the future. For upcoming seasons, her interns will have the luxury of wearing some of her personal first designs…this being just a sneak-peak of what is yet to come:
